Marlene Lee launches her short story collection, INNER PASSAGE, Tuesday, November 14 @ 6:30 p.m.

We’re thrilled and honored to be hosting the launch party for Marlene Lee’s new book, Inner Passage, Collected Short Stories on Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. The collection introduces the reader to an array of characters from the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, California, and the South whose lives lead them toward truths they ignore, resist, and explore — sometimes all at the same time. Marlene will be reading from and talking about her work, and signing copies of her book. Come and help us celebrate one of our favorite local writers!

Marlene Lee’s published novels include The Absent Woman, Rebecca’s Road, Scoville, Limestone Wall, and No Certain Home. She has also published numerous stories, poems, and essays.

She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a BA in English, French, and Music; University of Kansas with an MA in English; and Brooklyn University with a BFA in Creative Writing.  Lee has been a high school teacher, a special education teacher, and a court reporter.  She currently lives in Columbia, Missouri with her lifetime partner.
